Hi all,
Following FROM THIS DAY FORWARD (Monday, October 10), POV will be broadcasting PINK BOY, a short film by Eric Rockey. PINK BOY follows a family in rural Florida, BJ and Sherrie, and Jessie, their adopted, gender nonconforming child. We're excited to present this short, which compliments FROM THIS DAY FORWARD with a different perspective on trans lives, and took home the Grand Jury Prize in the Shorts Competition of DOC NYC.
Then, on Monday, October 17, POV presents HOOLIGAN SPARROW, the incredible, brave and challenging first documentary feature by filmmaker Nanfu Wang. The film centers on a horrible crime committed against young girls in 2013 in China, and follows Wang's travels with feminist activists taking great risks as they work to hold the perpetrators accountable.
