Hi all,

Following our season premiere this coming Monday(!), we're honored to present THE WAR SHOW by filmmakers Obaidah Zytoon and Andreas Dalsgaard on July 3, 2017. THE WAR SHOW will be the second installment of our three week arc of films, a spotlight on stories showing the impact of the Syrian civil war and the lives of the forcibly displaced. 

THE WAR SHOW is a personal documentary, showing how war affects a group of young friends in Syria. The film captures their inspiring resistance during the peaceful Arab Spring protests in 2011, then continues to follow their stories as the country spiraled into bloody civil war. Narrated by the filmmaker, Obaidah Zytoon, this film brings you into this close knit circle, whose humor and passion feel intimate and familiar. THE WAR SHOW offers a vital, urgent look at the destruction of this war on a personal and global scale.

In POV's Social Media Toolkits Dropbox folder for the film, please find images, film clips and a trailer with closed captioning files, sample social media language and other information. On the night of broadcast, POV invites stations and partners to use the hashtag #TheWarShowPBS and join a conversation with the filmmakers and our audience around the film.

To cross-post POV videos on Facebook, go to your page's Facebook settings, select Crossposting in the left-hand navigation and enter "POV" in Add Page. POV has whitelisted all station accounts, but not all stations have added POV. Please find links to posts to share/retweet, linked below.
