Greetings,
My name is Jacquelyne Graham. I'm the mom of a 9-year-old American Staffordshire named Remington. Remi has had an intermittent
limp since he was ~3-4 years old. When the limp 1st appeared, there was no known cause of injury and it disappeared within a few days. It was chalked up to a soft tissue injury. However, the limp would appear after typical ball play. There would be no yelp,
no pain noted on Remi's end. When it appeared again, radiographs were taken of his knee and hip; there were no significant findings. At the worst, Remi would still tolerate weight on his L rear leg but a few weeks ago, he sustained another unknown injury in
which he wouldn't tolerate any weight. A DVM friend of mine kindly started acupuncture on him once weekly and while it has helped, it is diagnosed that Remi needs ACL repair. I worry because he is still active and at risk of tearing his R limb ACL. Through
Thrive and a 3rd party surgeon, his surgery will cost ~3G.
I'm very sorry to reach out for financial assistance as I know there are
a lot of pet owners and pets in need of help. I'm a full-time nursing student and a part-time RVT working for Thrive in Long Beach. If I can receive financial aid of any sort, Remi and I would greatly appreciate it. Any little bit helps. I've attached a copy
of the estimate created for Remi's surgery.
My gratitude & best regards,
Jacquelyne Graham
