Citizen’s Initiatives Proposal: 20 Is Plenty and Prohibit "Right Turn on Red"

In a previous email I noted that we should consider mounting a Citizen’s Initiatives: 20 Is Plenty and Prohibit "Right Turn on Red" campaign.

I am here going to suggest that we draft and mount two separate campaigns for citizen's initiative.

1. 20 mph max speed limit on most city streets

2. Prohibit "Right Turn on Red" on all streets.

The city council would likely pass the first directly becuase sending it to voters and passing would hamstring them for five years.

They probably would also pass the second if we got as many signatures for the second.

Here is a draft memo on the subject.  I don't know if I will be able to make it to the meeting, it will be late if I do.
