Last chance! Comment on Maine's bike/ped plan! |
|
Hi Denise,
Tomorrow, January 30th, is the deadline to submit your comments on the Maine Department of Transportation’s Statewide Active Transportation Plan (SATP) draft plan. Take a moment to share your thoughts on shaping Maine’s bicycle and pedestrian future.
If you missed our webinar on the plan, you can watch it here. Slide deck from the presentation is available here. After a robust stakeholder and public engagement process, the plan makes a strong statement on the importance of active transportation and provides a well-rounded set of recommendations for policies, programs, and infrastructure to improve active transportation in Maine. In our view, the plan could be improved with clear timelines for action, measures for success, and a commitment to increase funding.
