Dear Jeremiah and Bruce,

With spring here and restriping season coming on, PBPAC is writing to follow up on the attached letter from last fall regarding the incorrectly placed shared lane markings in the USM roundabout. For reasons noted in that letter, we believe that it is imperative, especially in this location where the markings are so noticable, that the incorrectly placed markings be removed this year, and replaced with correctly centered markings. We are writing at this time in the hope that this task can simply be included in this summer's restriping plan.

Beyond this single location, we subsequently mentioned several other locations where PBPAC members noticed what appeared to be incorrect markings. Thank you, Jeremiah, for your positive response regarding getting input on such locations. Would Portland's See Click Fix app be an appropriate channel for this communication? Our past understanding was that the app would need to be updated for this purpose. If not, should email communication be sent to you, or to the Operations Supervisor? Presumably a new Supervisor has been hired since last fall’s
vacancy.

We look forward to continuing to work with Public Works to improve the quality of bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure in Portland.
