Volunteers needed for tabling at WestFest on Saturday!

Hello folks!

We are looking for volunteers who can help table at WestFest, a neighborhood festival at Reiche community center grounds on Saturday. You won’t need to do much except show up, be yourself, and talk to people about our goals to make Portland a better place to walk, bike, and ride.

I can be there from 10am til noon, but need to depart to coach little league after that. If really looking for someone to cover from noon to 2pm, but I’d also love help before that!

We are firming up the number of tables we will need for demonstrations and information materials. Have you decided whether or not you are sending a materials, with or without a person, for sharing at WestFest? If it will be materials only, we could talk about pick-up or drop-off of those items.

Thus far, BCM is going to run a bicycle rodeo at Westfest, and Gear Hub is going to do a pop-up repair shop. Maintenance and safety will also be covered to some extent. Both will also set up information tables, as will - I believe - Vision Zero.

Portland Trails is coming, but haven't yet detailed what they'd be doing or setting up.

I wanted to check in on you guys. I understand you'll be busy in May, however, I am trying to hammer down who, what, and when for WestFest.

There will be a bike parade, there will be a bike rodeo, what about a slow-paced ride around the block, family-oriented, or at least a table.

Just let me know.

Yes, the event has been moved indoors.  Everyone will be accessing via Clark Street Entrance only.

I will be doing other stuff at the Westfest.
