Interesting. $375k seems like a 3 full time salaries plus expenses for a year??

Some key points from the "deliverables" section – this could be our opportunity to get the Council to adopt a citywide plan for bike infrastructure and off-street paths, and possibly also make some low-hanging updates to the design manual?
  • Task 4: Vision, Goals, + Performance Measures (How do we want to move in 2045?).. the consultant will develop and build consensus around a vision,
goals, and measurable targets for the city’s future transportation system, with a horizon of 20 years. It is assumed that this vision will be informed by the existing and future conditions
analysis as well as previously documented transportation priorities (e.g. Vision Zero, complete streets, equity and access, and state of good repair)
  • Task 6: Recommendations (Getting there)... the consultant will develop a set of recommendations that provides a blueprint for future transportation investments and policy. Recommendations should be organized in timeframes: short-term (0-5 years), mid-term (6-10 years), long-term (11-20 years), and future (beyond 20 years). The recommendations should include systems-level plans for multi-modal infrastructure (e.g. a city-wide off-street pathway network, city-wide on-street bike network), city-wide strategies for wayfinding, paper street retention and reuse/prioritization, and parking, as well as specific capital projects...

+1 on the bicycle network
I’d also push for a feasibility study on the removal of 295.
This plan will be a real display of whether city leaders have a backbone.

I’d also push for a feasibility study on the removal of 295.

I thought this has been done already.

Here is one of the slide shows, by Beth Osborne, about 295/highway removal, hopefully it loads; I've had bad luck with sharing big files on this listserv.
