I witnessed a driver hit a bicyclist last night, ~8:45pm at the St. John/Brighton intersection. I called 911, but did not approach the rider (who appeared alert the whole time), and a number of people approached to help them.

Too many of these go un or underreported

Unfortunately I was looking down when the collision occurred, so can’t add any details to the traffic movements. I can say that that intersection is dark, and one of the portions where Brighton is 4 lanes (unnecessarily)

Gordon,
This sounds like the crash that the police released. Was the cyclist a youth?
Thanks

That’s correct- thanks for letting me know.
I haven’t seen or subscribed to police reports

Thanks,

They originally reported the wrong location, so some articles have it wrong.
