Hi folks,
Yesterday I attended the Bicycle Coalition of Maine's Webinar on the Maine DOT's active transportation plan.
It was recorded, and is only an hour long- I think it's worth listening too.
My takeaway is that it might be really helpful for some smaller communities, but Portland needs to go a lot further.
Public comment closes on the 30th, however, I may consider putting this on the Agenda at our February meeting, to send a late comment to key employees of the DOT, especially if folks are down for reviewing the plan, and coming up with such a comment.... Not sure I'm the right person to lead that effort is all I'm saying!
