Thanks for the advice, Mike. It took me a while to find the right
department at PacBell, but once I did, they were able to "reconfigure
the router" connected to my line and I was up and running in minutes!
I think they changed my line from PPPoA to PPPoE. Apparently PPPoA was
something that PacBell used to use, but all the new stuff is PPPoE.
