This two-hour live online class will introduce students to the basics of Public Broadcasting Core and describe and explain best practice in the field.
This two-hour online class will help you lay some of the basic
groundwork needed to implement Public Broadcasting Core metadata in your
institution. For those familiar with MARC or other cataloging schema we
will discuss how Public Broadcasting Core developed and how it supports
the cataloging of strong AV collections and how that might be
integrated into your workflow.

This class is ideal for catalogers, volunteer catalogers and those who want to acquire some knowledge of Public Broadcasting Core. It is also ideal for anyone simply interested in knowing more about the schema and how it may be applied in all kinds of digital projects related to AV materials.
