I have this assignment at work in which I need to use the Google maps API v3 and the design they gave me was without the logo/footer/copyright that google puts in the inferior part of the map. Well, I need to have it disabled or hidden because I was told that I need to match the exact design no matter what.
(a) Content provided to you through the Service may contain the trade names, trademarks, service marks, logos, domain names, and other distinctive brand features of Google, its partners, or other third party rights holders of content indexed by Google. When Google provides this attribution, you must display it as provided through the Service or as described in the Maps APIs Documentation and may not delete or in any manner alter these trade names, trademarks, service marks, logos, domain names, and other distinctive brand features.
Does anyone know of a program/resource where you can generate custom map symbols for retail brands based on their logo? For example, I'd like to make a point map of major of apparel brands such as F21, Altrd State, Madewell, H&M, Express...etc. but I would like the maker for the location to be the logo of the brand. Any help on something that can be done quickly? I have access to illustrator however I'm trying not to have to make all logos from scratch.
Finally, you could also go straight to the brand's website. If they have a logo or icon in their website or app, odds are you will be able to find a decent icon there that you can save to a file. That's a bit more tedious, but still probably better than making your own.
I do have the svg files for the existing logs but when I imported them into Arcpro they came in really strange and not the orginal symbols. Do I have to do any edits in Illustrator or is there a way to fix the logos?
Maps that use Mapbox map designs, data or software usually must display the Mapbox logo and text attribution. This guide explains when, why, and how you are required to add these forms of attribution, and any exceptions.
The Mapbox logo is a small image containing the stylized word "Mapbox". It typically resides on the bottom left corner of a map. While you may move the logo to a different corner of the map, we require the Mapbox logo to appear on our maps so that Mapbox and its maps get proper credit.
The text attribution contains at least three links: Mapbox, OpenStreetMap and Improve this map. You must properly attribute and link Mapbox and OpenStreetMap when using the Mapbox Streets tileset. Some other Mapbox-provided tilesets require additional attribution which is stored in the TileJSON of the tileset. If you are using Mapbox software to render a map based entirely on data from a non-Mapbox source, you may omit the text attribution but must still display the Mapbox logo.
You must also display the Mapbox logo if your map uses a custom style or custom data hosted by Mapbox. (This is the case for most maps built with Mapbox Studio.) If you do not use Mapbox styles or data supplied by Mapbox, you may omit text attribution but must still include the Mapbox logo.
You must include the Mapbox logo and attribution notice on any map that uses the Mapbox Maps SDK for Unity. We provide an Attribution prefab with the Maps SDK for Unity that includes all required information. This prefab utilizes UGUI for integration and customization.
You may adjust the position of the Mapbox logo and attribution notice, but they must stay visible on the map. You may also change the background (transparent by default) and text color of the text attribution notice to match your design aesthetics, but all information must be legible.
Static and print maps need to be attributed in the same fashion as you would cite a photograph: in a textual description near the image. If you can include HTML, use this code snippet that includes links to Mapbox & OpenStreetMap:
If you are using Mapbox maps with another open source library, like Leaflet or OpenLayers, the Mapbox logo and attribution are still required. These libraries may not automatically add necessary attribution, so you'll need to add it yourself. To get the Mapbox logo in various formats and styles, download the Mapbox logo file on our Press page.
If you're using a mapping library without an attribution control, you will need to insert the HTML attribution and Mapbox logo with the code below. Use the following HTML and CSS to the logo and attribution manually:
In school and university education, mind maps are effective learning aids. By structuring information in a way that is compatible with visual learning styles, and by filtering long texts into shorter mind map topics, learners can absorb more information, faster.
Mind mapping gets your creative juices flowing and can inspire you to refine unformed ideas or discover new concepts. That's because mind maps use images and keywords to create new associations in your brain, which you can also transcribe with incredible speed.
I absolutely LOVE this app!!! We travel a lot and stay on people's property across the U.S. and I always download maps for the areas we are going to be in. I love checking out the older topo maps and seeing what I can find and it's really fun to show the property owners what used to be around. I've also found a cave that a property owner didn't know they had, super cool! I also use it for metal detecting to find good places to go! 10/10 this app is awesome!
You can download AMC maps! Edit as of 05/08/2022: I've been using this on several 4000 footers in NH, and I definitely still recommend this app. It's a great additional tool for the physical map you should already have. It shows where you are on the map based on your phone's GPS. It also allows you to take notes by placing pins on the downloaded map. Also note: once a map is downloaded, the app works offline.
Great app!.. everything I like about paper maps and nothing I hate about digital maps. Satelite connection is very solid and tracking is accurate. This app also hosts a sweet cache of maps. I use it to get around northern WI on atv and snow machine. I used it to find my property boundries by setting the coordinates and following the heading! I use this app nearly every day and I would just like to say thanks a bunch to the developers.
Really cool app. It allows me to download state park maps, which are available for free, and use them to navigate around hiking trails in real-time so I can become more familiar with them. Very useful tool and makes it a lot less daunting to go to larger areas without having to worry about getting lost.
This is the best map app ever! I am not an expert by any means, but I do use them a lot, and this app is the closest thing to GPS you can get! Many features, too many to mention here! Try it you will like it! Of course, it costs to buy maps and get excellent functionality from the app itself but it's well worth the price. Try it free (I bet you buy it)
