Perched atop current musical trends, Linkin Park's 'Burn It Down' ringtone can be pointedly compelling for pop music devotees. This iridescent ringtone is an urbane concoction of incisive EDM, rock and nu-metal, further augmented with a sophisticated hint of hip-hop. Its pulsing and meandering percussion are a vivid amalgam of the modern and classic: breakneck polyrhythms gracefully coalesce with elemental hip-hop kick and snare percussion, in addition to some germinal industrial sounds.
Masterfully orchestrated, the composition of 'Burn It Down' is a mixture of both vibrant retro-revivalism, as well as of avant-garde leaning sounds. With shimmering electric synths and a punchy, electric nature, 'Burn It Down' is a transcendent ringtone that can aptly compliment any musical prowess. A modern-day classic, this ringtone is a must-have piece of the complete music aficionado's collage.
How do you add a ringtone to your iPhone? I used to be able to drag my new ringtone into iTunes, but there is no longer an iTunes, it's this hard to work with Apple Music. Seriously, you can't even search music if you don't know what genre it falls under- no way to search via title. Also, how do you set up apple music to go to an external hard drive that is attached? I had that in iTunes but not in Apple music.
I want my really old iTunes back! The one when you can add stuff from records and other streaming services just by drag and drop or import and it lets you play stuff without a what-ever tag that wasn't on cd's when they first came out. I can't even burn those songs to cd's. Even if I made it in GB. It's very frustrating.
That's all well and good, but when you go to big sur, or the latest update for it. Itunes is deleted. It's not in my applications folder. I didn't delete it. It's also not in the relocated items on my desktop. I don't know why it's deleted but it's gone. I have to do this through apple music unless I can download itunes? I don't see it in the app store. I did do it the way the post said when I changed a ringtone. Can I do it through Garage Band? Don't get me wrong, I've had an Apple since Apple II +. I've never had so much problems with a program up till now. Why is this so hard?
I can't move .m4r files to my iPhone from my M1 MacBook Air. When I drag a ringtone to the main screen of the iPhone in Finder, the system becomes slow and nothing happens -- the icon of the ringtone just bounces back. These are ringtones that I have previously had on my phone in the past.
@Roberta830 I have never heard of the AirBnB ringtone. Is this the sound that your phone emits when you receive an SMS message? If you have a smart phone, you should be able to download a new ringtone or select a different one and set the volume.
But the most irritating feature about it was the ringtone. I originally selected the old fashioned telephone ring as my call alert sound - just like most of my colleagues. Every time I visited HQ, a bell would go off and eight of us would start scrabbling around to see if our mobile was the source.
Haha!
I was wondering whose phone that was playing rock classics in the office! I used to have Take That's Relight My Fire as my ringtone but now I have a rather jaunty little tune that sounds like the Mexican Hat Dance...
The ringtone is a standard 'ring ring', although I'm very much tempted to switch it for one of the classic tracks from Flight of the Conchords (I'm thinking the China Girl homage at the end of Bowie). As for the SMS texting, I'm afraid I've succumbed to all sorts of geekery:
Different
I have not gone for a rock classic as my ringtone. The tardis sound from Dr Who announces all calls on my phone. This is distinctively different from all other ring tones both in my office and wherever else I go!
A break from silence
I always have my phone on silent, apart from when I am out shopping or on the train because I am notoriously tricky to get hold of so want to give my callers a bit of a break. My ringtone alternates between 'Brooklyn is burning' by Head Automatica which is for when I am being considerate. And for my obnoxious days (usually when I am surrounded by hip/trip-hop kids on buses) I change it to 'Scott Farcas takes it on the chin' by Less Than Jake - it makes people jump!
The saddest thing is that, more than 4 months later, I remembered this thread, and was exceedingly jealous that John could get his Blackberry Pearl to use anything other than the standard ringtones, because I couldn't!
But upgrades are amazing things and my new Blackberry Curve will sync with itunes directories and can use any tune as a ringtone so it's a game even I can play. At the moment it's Honky Tonk Women by the Rolling stones - there's just time for the cow bells, drums and opening guitar riff.
The source for your ringtone or IVR message will most likely be an audio file on your computer. Click File > Import > Audio, select the file you want and click Open. Audacity can import MP3, MP2, WAV, AIFF, OGG and FLAC files (and MP4 files on Mac OS X) without additional libraries.
Many phone speakers cannot reproduce very low frequencies so consider attenuating them (a gradual reduction in the amplitude of the sound level), especially if you are making a ringtone from an original high quality music file. On opening Effect > Filter Curve EQ you will notice a horizontal line at 0 dB, meaning that at that position, no changes are made to the volume of any frequencies. A curve can be created using the mouse, clicking at various points above or below the line. For ringtones, bring the line down to -24 dB on the vertical axis for the low frequencies from 30-300 Hz on the horizontal axis. You may want to increase the lower frequencies from 300 Hz to say 600 Hz by dragging them above 0 dB, then reduce the highest frequencies above say 10,000 Hz. This should make the sound somewhat richer and less "tinny" on a small cellphone speaker by emphasizing the frequency range it can reproduce best.
Here is an example spectrum plot from Audacity for the NOKIA 3310 - Classic Monophonic Ringtone. This ringtone is quite acute so you can hear the phone from far, something that is essential for a well-made ringtone.
Using the Effect > Compressor will reduce the difference between high and low volume which allows you to make the ringtone louder overall. This suits small cellphone speakers which may not be able to handle large changes in dynamic range. You will probably want to move the Ratio slider to right of its default setting of 2:1 to give stronger compression.
Note that some cellphones and mobile service providers do not allow the user to download customized free ringtones to the phone. For older phones may be useful in determining if the phone allows addition of free customized ringtones. If in doubt, always look at the manual for your phone for advice on downloading ringtones.
The ringtones on this website are in .mp3 format and is compatible with almost all mobile phones. Download ringtones and use them on Nokia Mobile phones, Samsung, Sony Ericsson phones, LG mobiles, Motorola phones etc...
You are correct - I am using RingCentral extensions that I have asterisk registering to and also the Dial and ConfBridge commands are going to RingCentral extensions as well. We do not use asterisk for endpoints, but as a swiss army knife (usually with trunking), but Ring Central does not offer any sort of trunking, so our customer is having to burn a RC extension and account per conference member.
A paramedic rescues a young girl from the blazing Saint Luke's hospital before unsuccessfully inquiring about her mother's whereabouts. Sometime afterwards, undergraduate Shelley Baum hears her cat meowing near her koi pond. After she heads over to investigate, a hand appears and drowns her and her cat. Days later, college students Beth Raymond and Leann Cole discuss Shelley's funeral. Leann's cellphone rings in a lullaby-esque ringtone, with a call from Shelley. She opens it to an eerie voicemail of herself, dated for June 12 at 10:17 PM. Subsequently suffering from disturbing hallucinations, she calls Beth while returning from a study session. Beth rushes to her location but arrives just as Leann falls off an overpass and is struck by a train. A red candy pops out of her mouth, and her severed hand dials a number on her phone. At Leann's funeral, her ex-boyfriend Brian Sousa departs after experiencing hallucinations. Outside a coffee shop, he shows Beth Leann's post-mortem voicemail, dated minutes away. An acetylene tank explosion from the adjacent construction site launches debris into the air, and a rebar impales Brian's torso. A red candy is ejected from his mouth, and he collapses.
One Missed Call includes most of the scenes and characters that were in the original 2003 film. These include the exorcism scene, where one of the characters is killed while filming the show American Miracles.[9] The characters of Beth, Leann, Taylor, Jack, Brian, and Shelley are respectively based on the original characters Yumi, Yoko, Natsumi, Yamashita, Kenji, and Rina. Another reference is contained within the theatrical trailer; while Leann is walking down the street, a piece of the original ringtone from One Missed Call (2003) plays in the background until she falls from the overpass.[9]
I had a library of homemade iPhone ringtones on my Mac that disappeared during the last OS X software upgrade. All my friends and family members had a ringtone assigned to them. I knew exactly who was calling me without having to look at the phone. About 5 months ago I exported my iTunes library to my Desktop: File > Library > Export Library. Is there a way to isolate the ringtone files and restore them to iTunes? Or would it be better to just do a complete restore? Also, is it possible to backup the ringtones to a CD to prevent this from happening again?
