Iwas wondering if anybody new of a way that I could use of scanning a registration plate on a car and then adding that number to a string inside java? I have been looking around a bit and came across this

Thank you for the review! Very nice! I am curious, with regard to the distance calculation, the app is designed to calculate the distance based on where you are when you see the plate. It will only calculates the distance using your home state if the location services/GPS are not turned on for the app.

Thanks again for the review! You guys were the first ones to write a review of my first app! I appreciate it!

Safe Travels!

The highly advanced Vaxtor ALPR engine is fully ported to an Android SDK, enabling incredible performance and speeds matching an Intel i7 processor. Recognition at these speeds opens the ALPR On-Mobile market to verticals that were previously unachievable.

Once recognised, the license plate or container code is saved or transmitted along with other metadata such as time, date, GPS position, confidence etc. enabling a truly seamless and expansive mobile application to be designed for parking enforcement or port security/management.

The Camera Wall Plate brings all the power of Kuna to any light fixture. An all-new app, Kuna-SE, specially designed exclusively for the wall plate, provides all the functionality of the classic Kuna app to any light fixture used with the wall plate.

The Camera Wall Plate is compatible with most standard light fixtures, and when used together with the required app, the all-new Kuna-SE, provides all the features of the classic Kuna lights. The Kuna-SE app currently is exclusive to the Camera Wall Plate, and will not work with classic Kuna lights.

FREE TIER

Even without a Premium plan, all Kuna Powered Devices enjoy free features such as 24/7 HD Video Livestream, Two-Way Communication, Pre-Recorded Messages, Classic Smart Detection, 2-Hour Event Look-Back for up to 6 Events/hour, 3 Downloads/Month, Ability to Sound Alarm, Light Controls, Manual Recordings, Automated Greetings, and Animated Event Thumbnails. We reserve the right to change the features available on our product on free and plan tiers.

1. Install the Camera Wall Plate.

First connect the Camera Wall Plate to the junction box, after removing any light fixture already installed. To install in a new location altogether, first run electricity and install a junction box at the location.

2. Now connect the desired light fixture to the Camera Wall Plate.

Follow the instructions that came with your light fixture; if you are using a Kuna light fixture, the Camera Wall Plate manual includes instructions for it.

3. Download the Kuna-SE app and pair.

The Kuna-SE app provides all the functionality of the traditional Kuna app and is easy to pair using Wi-Fi to the Wall Plate - Fixture combination. You now have a Kuna powered fixture!

If you want to do it with a Fairphone 3(+), there is no risk to do so. The silikon rectangle inside the cover holding the plate in place.

I do it the same way with no issues, as there is no open contact like in the FP2.

I have a magnetic support in my car and a wallet cover for my FP3.

When I get on the car, I slide the metal plate in the cover internal pocket (which is not permanently attached to my phone).

It sticks good.

The MAGVIEW Wireless Charging Phone Plate allows your device to be attached to the MAGVIEW Bino and Spotting Scope Optic adapters without losing the ability to wirelessly charge. This magnetic plate is specifically sized to pair perfectly with our optic adapters to provide a firm hold on your optics to capture moments in the field.

I put this on my new iPhone and it chargers on the surface charger just fine. No fiddling with it, just set the phone down and it charges. Hold the phone to my binos and my spotting scope great too. Works exactly as advertised.

Building my first number plate recognition with C++ was a painful endeavor. I had to compile tensorflow from source after which you run into errors around bazel and so on and so forth, It seems the tensorflow team just don't wanna support C++ developers ,sarcastically ,most of the underlying implementation is in C++. At that particular time ,I choose C++ because the intention was to build a real-time application installable and usable at business centers and sort so speed and multithreading was a great deal.

A number plate detection problem set is synonymous to the OCR problem set where a region containing characters has to be detected, the characters segmentation as courteous, then each segmented character has to be predicted

You could use OpenCV to solve this problem for it has a good way to sort out character through canny edge and some other sophisticated algorithms for segmentation ,after which u could use simple machine learning classification model like k-nearest neighbors to predict the segmentation into digital characters and thus marking the final checkbox.

There is a chance you would want better ,not just good and that's me .Try those approaches and test out your result and let's see if you are not going after that Sdk or Api .That does a clear explanation on why they are off the shelf .The detection and segmentation and more often than not, are unreliable. Furthermore, a final compiled Apk with those technologies in place is strikingly enormous. You will barely like it on phone.

So I had to fold my sleeves and train a custom license plate detector, converted it to Tensorflow tflite , went ahead and trained a character segmentation model, had it converted to tflite. Here is a glimpse of how that turned out

I trained one with Mnist like image characters dataset but is got poor results .I believe the dataset is way off the ground truth ,not so useful in this use case ,more natural characters are strongly recommended. As a matter of fact the classification model is within the app but deactivated

All this should run smoothly in android and at about 35 mb of disk space budget. The models are not that good cause I never did a lot of training on them plus the insufficiency of data. There is an entirely a wide space to fill ,lots of radical improvement can be done for a consistent and robust license plate pipeline.

The system should be at it best with Kenyan License plates as the training data is collected from the internet and relies on the predominant understanding of the mannerism in which they are structured.
