UncommonBond is the twenty-fourth episode of season seven of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and the one hundred and sixty-seventh overall.[1] The title is a play on the phrase "common bond".

This episode premiered on Canada's Treehouse TV channel on October 15, 2017, six days prior to its scheduled airing on Discovery Family. It was also scheduled to air on Polish television channel MiniMini+ on October 19, 2017, but it was replaced with a rerun of Hard to Say Anything.

At the Ponyville train station, Starlight Glimmer anxiously awaits the arrival of Sunburst, bragging to several ponies that she has more in common with him than any other pony in Equestria. When Sunburst arrives, Starlight looks forward to spending time with him and doing all the things they used to do together, like practice magic and play games. However, Sunburst also wants to do some antiquing, an activity that Starlight had no idea he was interested in.

At the antique store, Sunburst marvels at the various antiques and relics on display, but Starlight shows barely any interest. The two run into Twilight Sparkle, and she and Sunburst bond over their shared interest in antiquing, causing Starlight to feel left out. Sunburst notices her lack of enthusiasm and says she doesn't have to pretend to like antiquing, but Starlight appreciates how much he likes it himself, even as Twilight and Sunburst bond further at the Castle of Friendship.

When Twilight and Sunburst notice how left out Starlight is feeling, they ask her what she wants to do, and Starlight takes out her and Sunburst's favorite board game from when they were little: Dragon Pit. After an afternoon of playing, Starlight helps Sunburst get settled in. She tries to discuss what they'll do together the next day, but all Sunburst can talk about is how well he and Twilight get along.

The next day, Starlight wakes Sunburst up before the sun's barely even begun to rise. With Twilight busy with her princess duties, Starlight is excited to spend time with Sunburst alone. She takes him to see the apple trees at Sweet Apple Acres, and when Starlight demonstrates some applebucking, she drops some apples on Trixie's head. Trixie offers to show the two a new escape trick she's been working on, and Sunburst eagerly accepts. Unfortunately, the trick doesn't go well, prompting Sunburst and Starlight to assist.

Being interested in stage magic himself, Sunburst unexpectedly bonds with Trixie as well and they share stage tricks with each other, causing Starlight to feel left out again. Later that day, Starlight takes Sunburst to see the magical Mirror Pool, and they run into Maud Pie, whose new cavern home is connected to the Mirror Pool's chamber. As Maud continues her geological studies, Sunburst joins her, having a moderate interest in geology as well. Once again, Starlight feels left out and leaves.

Soon after, Twilight finds Starlight sulking by herself in the castle library. Starlight confides in Twilight that she and Sunburst had so much in common when they were little, but now she feels like he has more in common with her friends than he does with her. Twilight tells her that everyone changes over time and that they still have a common interest in magic, and this gives Starlight an idea.

Some time later, Sunburst meets up with Starlight in the throne room, and Starlight shows him a new spell she invented. She uses her magic to turn the throne room into their old childhood home and revert themselves to the size of foals so they could relive their foal days of playing Dragon Pit together. Sunburst, uncomfortable with the lengths to which Starlight is going to spend time with him, angrily says he doesn't want to play, and Starlight undoes the effects of her spell. When Twilight enters to see what's going on, Starlight leaves the throne room in tears.

Sunburst consults with Twilight on the situation and claims, even though he gets along well with Starlight's friends, he and Starlight still have plenty in common. Twilight advises Sunburst to remind Starlight of what those things are. To this end, he consults Trixie and Maud about what they have in common with Starlight. However, he learns that he doesn't have the same things in common with Starlight that they do, like Starlight and Trixie's troubled pasts and Starlight and Maud's shared feeling of being different from others.

Twilight guides Starlight to the library, with Starlight feeling like she and Sunburst have grown so far apart that he doesn't want to be her friend anymore. Twilight proves her wrong by showing her what Sunburst, Trixie, and Maud put together in the library: a life-sized version of Dragon Pit. Starlight is touched by Sunburst's gesture and joins in.

A few days later, Starlight, Twilight, Trixie, and Maud see Sunburst off at the train station when he leaves. Starlight and Sunburst agree that it doesn't matter what they have in common as long as they enjoy each other's company. As Sunburst leaves on the Friendship Express for the Crystal Empire, he looks through the mystery contents of a barrel he bought at the antique store. One of the items inside is an old, musty book with Star Swirl the Bearded's cutie mark on the cover.

But never once in 10 seasons is Rachel shown wearing glasses. So either she was lying to save face about the subtitles, or she walks around with bad eyesight. We know Rachel doesn't wear contacts because, as established on season five, episode 22, "The One with Joey's Big Break," she's terrified of anything touching her eyes.

Again, Phoebe meets her birth father after an emotional buildup. She had tried to work up the courage to meet him in earlier seasons, but ends up running into him at her grandmother's funeral on season five, episode 13, "The One with Joey's Bag."

To be fair, Phoebe was a literal baby at the time and wouldn't remember any of that anyway. Also, a whole lot of traumatic stuff happened to her, so it's understandable if she got some details confused.

The chick and the duck play a major role as Chandler and Joey's beloved pets in earlier seasons. They slowly disappear from the show and make their final appearance on season six, episode 20, "The One With Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E."

The birds aren't seen again, but the duck is mentioned when it eats Rachel's face cream and gets sick on season seven, episode two, "The One with Rachel's Book." (OK, we're all thinking it now: Did Rachel's face cream kill the duck?)

On season one, episode four, "The One with George Stephanopoulos," Chandler and Joey give him a ticket to a hockey game on October 20, telling him it's a birthday present. Ross replies, "Funny, my birthday was seven months ago."

Ross, then, seems to age much slower than your average man. On season three, episode 13, "The One Where Monica and Richard Are Just Friends," he tells Chandler he's 29 years old. On season four, episode nine, "The One Where They're Going to Party," all three of the guys say they're 29.

The season seven episode "The One Where They All Turn Thirty" features flashbacks for all the characters, but focuses on Rachel's 30th birthday in the present. Monica and Rachel are the same age, since they graduated high school together, so we know Monica turned 30 that same year.

Though it's never clarified, Phoebe is presumably the eldest of the group. Ross and Chandler are the same age since they were roommates throughout college. We also know they're one year older than Monica and Rachel, since Ross mentions that he was a freshman in college when Rachel was a senior in high school.

But much like his friends, Joey ages inconsistently. On season two, episode 16, "The One Where Joey Moves Out," Joey says he wants to live alone because he's 28 years old. Somehow he aged three years since the previous season.

We know from a previous episode in season seven that their wedding date is May 15. Plus, Rachel would've already been about one month pregnant, given that Ross reveals on episode three ("The One Where Rachel Tells...") that he and Rachel slept together "about a month ago."

Finally, on season eight, episode 22, "The One Where Rachel Is Late," she goes into labor. She also tells Ross that it's "100 degrees outside," which signals that it's summertime in New York City. But she should have given birth around January.

On season one, episode four, "The One With George Stephanopoulos," Ross is depressed because it's the anniversary of the day he first had sex with Carol, his ex-wife whom he met in college. He tells Joey and Chandler that it was the first time he had sex with anybody.

There are several other allusions to Ross' college sex life throughout the show. In one flashback episode, Ross is shown making out with a girl at a party, and she reassures him she won't tell anyone about their fling. ("Cool," he replies.) So maybe Ross was just lying to everyone about losing his virginity to Carol.

Throughout the first five seasons of "Friends," Ross works as a paleontologist at the Museum of Prehistoric History. The job is a major facet of his character and even plays a big role in his relationship arc with Rachel.

Ross' job at the museum is never mentioned again. In fact, he doesn't mention any job until season six, episode four, "The One Where Joey Loses His Insurance," when he's asked to be a guest lecturer at New York University.

Ross mentions his young son, Ben, tons of times throughout his ill-fated relationship with Emily. He cites Ben as the reason why he can't move to England with her, both before and after their wedding.

Joey has seven (seven!) sisters that live close by, but they only show up in one episode. All seven sisters come to Joey's birthday party on season three, episode 11, "The One Where Chandler Can't Remember Which Sister."

The only other time that any of them show up is on season eight, episode 10, "The One With Monica's Boots." Joey's sister, Dina, comes to tell him that she's pregnant, which results in Joey promising that he's going to be there for the baby. Dina and her baby are never mentioned again.
