20years ago, midtown Manhattan was the centre of fancy food in New York City. Wealthy tourists stayed there because of shopping, central park and their fear of Brooklyn, and professional services firms maintained their massive offices nearby. As a result, legendary sushiya like Hatsuhana, Kurumazushi, Sushi Den (RIP) and Sushi Zen (RIP) were popular both at lunch and dinner.

But that creates an opportunity. An opportunity to dine without the pomp and circumstance, with experienced, no-nonsense Itamae and chefs. That experience translates into the sushi, especially the shari (rice), which I found had the perfect level of sweetness for my taste buds, as well as the sourcing of Neta you may not see elsewhere.

You can't go wrong when you crave CRAVE. Took my granddaughter out for her favorite Shrimp Tempura roll topped with crunchies. Miso soup was chock full of tofu, greens and little green onions. I had Tuna Sashimi, always a winner..

...I had one of the specialty items - Snowflake rolls - delicious! While hubby had the spicy California rolls. We are looking to forward to the dine-in experience but in the meantime this will do. Very happy with service and quality of food - I do recommend.

This is one of the finest sushi bars in Austin! The fish and seafood are always fresh and Chef John expertly oversees all the nigiri and roll creation. He slices and plates all the shashimi himself. The miso soup is some of the best I've had and the Yellowtail Heaven appetizer is awesome...

Was in Union Square looking for a light dinner with family and saw Ebu Sushi. Had a delicious dinner of sushi and sashimi. The tuna sashimi was the best I have ever had! A huge piece that was so tender. The salmon sashimi melted in our mouths!

Will always be back. Great Sushi, fresh and creative. Had so many dishes, so many times. Tiger Roll, sauted tofu in ginger and soy sauce, dragon roll, unagi hand roll and more - all was really, really good.

Very nice place that does the little things right. The server was super knowledgeable. The hot and sour soup was some of the best I've had, as was the miso. Had the chicken fried rice tonight and it was delicious.

Me & my husband have been coming here off & on for almost ten years. We absolutely love it! The sushi is really good. We just went again yesterday & the quality is still on point. Our waiter was very polite & did an excellent job. They added a button below each table that you can press if you need the server's attention & I thought that was really neat & efficient. We got the Houston roll & the Hawaiian roll. Both were great!
