Hi bookery,
Welcome to Affinity Forums
Which application are you using? I suppose it's Affinity Designer. In Affinity Photo you can use the Mesh Warp Tool and the Perspective Tool and Perspective Live filter (all raster based tools) to achieve these type of effects. There's already a Mash Warp Tool in Affinity Designer's roadmap but it wasn't implemented yet (should come before version 2.0).
The Warp Tool is okay for text transformation but really isn't the same IMHO as have a warp tool in Designer. Using the Warp tool in AP requires more precision on the part of the designer (very manual process) and results in a slower workflow effort. Really looking forward to a real Text Warp tool in Designer for Vector designs.
I'll echo the need for a text warp tool in Designer.
It's one of the only things (for me) that I'm still really dying for. Am so loving it, after the first few months of being frustrated. (Just normal learning curve.)
I'm using After Effects 2018 (15.0.1, build 73) on a Windows 10 PC. Since I updated to the 2018 version, right-clicking on any of the tools does not bring up the options for the respective tool. For example, if I right-click on the marquee tool, it does not show elliptical marquee or any of the others as options I can choose. The only choice I am given is the default rectangle marquee. This is the case for all of the other tools, too. I would appreciate help to resolve this issue.
Well Gutterfish, I think the problem is with your sentence "Maybe a daily multi-vitamin is in order?". This didn't answer the question in helpful way at all, but instead caused the misunderstanding. Maybe you were making a joke you think is funny, but for some people it sounded salty. If next time you are trying to help someone for real, prevent using the words that will potentially cause confusion.
Right-clicking to reveal more tool options is standard for Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. For anyone not familiar with AfterEffcts but familiar with a handful of other Adobe programs this may not be immedietly clear.
Maybe not everyone has been blessed with your innate ability to use a program without ever needing to consult someone for guidance. I'm sure it must be a burden to have so much knowledge, but there's no need to be a smarmy tool about it.

I haven't had access to photoshop in a few years, and I don't especially miss it because of Pixlr. I'm not exactly an advanced user of graphic design products, so I can't speak to that level... But for basic image editing and creation, this gets the job done.
Pixlr is used by our organisation as a cheaper and more accessible version of photoshop. We use it to create graphics for our campaigns, as well as posters, report covers and other visual content for our work.
I use the software as my go-to for quick photo edits and social media post creation. I've used this for so many uses for simple graphic editing that I can't imagine not having it for image resizing, editing, and social media content creation.
Pixlr is so far my best online photo editing applications. I can easily access it through my browser without having to download and install any application on my computer. It pretty much helps me do everything I would do with a more complex and advanced application like Photoshop.
It's exceptionally user friendly and right on the money. It provides an editing platform like no other platform can. It's well built with high resolution editing experience, which is simple yet very elegant to use.
This Pixlr application is one of the best photo editing software I have used so far. There are lots of unique features available and the best part of this application is it's clean and user friendly UI.
The autofix and autocontrast features are very useful when time is limited and you have edit multiple images. I use these features to automatically correct the basic adjustments and then tweak few parameters to get the images according to my taste.

Well, if I think of the tools at the children's disposal - magnets - they use these to "fish" with we tie huge horseshoe magnets on string and they lower them over the side of the climbing frame to fish for numbers etc. They have magnifiers of all types, so they can see the differences in objects. They have hammers and real nails and soft wood, they have torches, we make dens with them, or turn out the lights on darker mornings and go looking for numbers or letters we have made using glow in the dark paint. Salad spinners for making fab paintings, all the playdough tools, extruders, pizza cutters, plastic scissors etc. seeing who can make the longest extruded piece of dough etc., we have scissors and glue spreaders, textured rollers for sand, sand combs for making patterns. We have tweezers for moving things to sort into dishes, similarly they have tongs in the kitchen or wherever they end up!, Different types of hole punches, and keys and padlocks to sort and find which key fits which lock.
Its intuitive interface will have you quickly conjuring up brilliantly sounding tunes in no time. Forget boring digital effects and embrace Analogue Tools for the surreal dark sounds at your fingertips. Get creative by crafting dreamscapes of ethereal noise with this incredible collection of analogue tools.
I am currently conducting a test to evaluate the impact of incorporating greenery into the building envelope on reducing the Urban Heat Island effect using Dragonfly. I have compared three different scenarios:

In tumorous tissues, the absence of vasculature supportive tissues intimates the formation of leaky vessels and pores (100 nm to 2 μm in diameter) and the poor lymphatic system offers great opportunity to treat cancer and the phenomenon is known as Enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect. The trends in treating cancer by making use of EPR effect is increasing day by day and generate multitudes of possibility to design novel anticancer therapeutics. This review aimed to present various factors affecting the EPR effect along with important things to know about EPR effect such as tumor perfusion, lymphatic function, interstitial penetration, vascular permeability, nanoparticle retention etc. This manuscript expounds the current advances and cross-talks the developments made in the of EPR effect-based therapeutics in cancer therapy along with a transactional view of its current clinical and industrial aspects.
The Water Framework Directive (WFD), 2000/60/EC, requires an integrated approach to the monitoring and assessment of the quality of surface water bodies. The chemical status assessment is based on compliance with legally binding Environmental Quality Standards (EQSs) for selected chemical pollutants (priority substances) of EU-wide concern. In the context of the mandate for the period 2010 to 2012 of the subgroup Chemical Monitoring and Emerging Pollutants (CMEP) under the Common Implementation Strategy (CIS) for the WFD, a specific task was established for the elaboration of a technical report on aquatic effect-based monitoring tools. The activity was chaired by Sweden and co-chaired by Italy and progressively involved several Member States and stakeholders in an EU-wide drafting group. The main aim of this technical report was to identify potential effect-based tools (e.g. biomarkers and bioassays) that could be used in the context of the different monitoring programmes (surveillance, operational and investigative) linking chemical and ecological status assessment. The present paper summarizes the major technical contents and findings of the report.
The Water Framework Directive (WFD), 2000/60/EC, [1] requires an integrated approach to the monitoring and assessment of the quality of surface water bodies in the European Union. The assessment of ecological status takes into account the effects at the population and community levels, based on the use of specific indices and ecological quality ratios. The chemical status assessment is based on compliance with legally binding Environmental Quality Standards (EQSs) for 53 selected chemical pollutants (priority substances) of EU-wide concern [2].
