Is there an option in blender 2.8 to import character as reference.?
In maya we use to have reference editor as option so that during project if rig is getting updated we can update the rig without the current animation getting affected. Is there such an option in blender 2.8 ? If yes someone please tell me how.

I tried to shut down sequence editor window and to go to a different blender work space but for some unknoun reason blender always keep rendering the sequencer even when i am pressing (render [F12]) on a window with only the 3d viewport in it or the UV image editor or any editor really even after restarting blender for multiple times and changing the render engines [Workbench ] [ Cycles ] [ EEVEE ] or even hiding all the clips and sounds on the sequencer or even removing the sequence editor completely in every work space, blender will keep rendering the result from the sequencer .

Note :- i am using blender 2.8 the official release and this problem happens a lot even in 2.79 and it takes trial and error to let blender understand not to render the sequence instead of the 3D viewport/render engines.

Please check the preferences in OpenShot and be sure the Blender executable is correct. This setting should be the path of the 'blender' executable on your computer. Also, please be sure that it is pointing to Blender version 2.62 or greater.

The path is likely incorrect. You can obtain the correct path by opening a terminal (Ctrl Alt T often does the trick) and issuing the command which blender the result will be the path you need. You can confirm that you have a supported version of blender with the command blender --version The version currently in the repositories is Blender 2.69 (at least for "Trusty" Ubuntu 14.04) you can properly install it easily with the command sudo apt-get install blender

Hi, I am not sure, whether I understand you correctly. I thought you wanted to bring a blender model into the flight simulator. What I do not understand is, what 3D Viewer has to do with it
The Asobo exporter creates three files: .BIN .GLTF and .XML in the directory you specify. I normally take these three files and use the directory structure provided by the SDK samples - in the case of a static model it is the simple_scenery structure.
Then I use the fspackagetool.exe to compile a package (create BGL and XML files) which I copy to my community directory. The first time I do this I still need to place the scenery. Afterwards any updates use the same position as long as I do not overwrite the GUID during export.
In more detail:

Seems like blender is going BIM by natural design with the new spreadsheet editor -
Wondering how easy it would be to tap into into with with blenderBIM, maybe even sverschok, and the nicest thing if there could be a way to mix and match data from different objects that are important to the project's design or documentation

OK, thanks. I've just mailed the developer of this add-on, which is already half way to having realtime tabulated data in blender.

I'm wondering if the properties could be filtered and grouped by adjusting the add-on. I'll have a proper look at the code when I get more time.

Something that is an important aspect is cloth tearing. I make transformations and i need the cloth-mesh to rip based on the stretching. It cannot be that hard, because all what blender has to do is to measure the deformation of the cloth mesh and split one vertex into two with connected edges when a specified threshold is reached.

Another thing I love about blender is having the ability to work with alpha channels. This means that you can place a PNG graphic that has a transparent background onto your timeline, set the Blend mode to Alpha Over, and the video beneath your image will show through the transparent areas. This is a feature I have yet to see implemented in freeware editors, which is a shame because graphic overlays always add a nice, professional touch to your finished videos.Picture-in-Picture
