Good evening,

Can anyone help me understand exactly what files need to be moved when I migrate to a new PC? I want to preserve all of our previous trial data and exhibitor info. Apologies if this has been answered before. I searched for it but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

So I'm assuming that when I install PawTap on the new laptop, it will create a _Dat.fmpur file, and I need to overwrite that file with the one copied from the original laptop?

Also, do I need to move all of our backup files from the original laptop to the new one, or will that _Dat.fmpur file bring that info over as well?

Thanks,

LS

Yes you will overwrite the one created.  I may or may not have the file name exactly right.  I am not at my computer.  You can save the backup files, but no, you don't need them.

This worked for bringing over the data. Thank you!

I tried to run backups from inside PawTap on the new PC, but it's giving me an error saying that it cannot access the disk. Any ideas on that one?

Is there a setting for the folder name?  Check different options.

I actually just figured it out. I read the documentation Google Doc and realized that I had to create the files manually before the program could run backups. I'm all good now! Thanks so much for your help!
