We have to to reschedule a trial due to the virus.  The clubs didn't cancel, they rescheduled.
The trial was pretty full actually.  So wondering how to handle this.

It's 4 days, 8 trials.  One club the first 2 day and a totally different club last 2 days.  So two separate trials in the software.

This has caused issues in sending final confirmations, as I have to send the 2nd trial person by person instead of the software doing it for me.  It keeps telling me that I need to choose whether I am adding an attachment.  I have it marked "no", but I can't get past that notice.  I've asked about it, but not solution.  It's only these 2 clubs that give me that problem!

Right now ... I need to make the trial list the new dates.  Can I just change the dates in the event screens?  I really don't want to create new trials from scratch if I can help it cause I would have to re-enter all the entries!  But before I try, I wanted to ask in case doing so would cause an issue.

Has anyone had to do this before?  Any help, advice, etc. would be welcome!

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure you can just change the dates but wait for Cynthia to answer for sure.   I know in the past I've messed up and forgot to put Sunday as a different date...I've gone in and changed it and its worked fine.

Yep, you can just change the date and then run the fixes in the maintenance tab to be sure.

I've done it before with no problems

Thinking outside the box, I probably would have put both clubs down under club name and then manually split the results file after the trials and updated the club name respectively on the results sheet. I can’t think of any reason why that wouldn’t work, to make your life easier?? Switching back and forth to enter runs would be such a pain!

Regarding dates, change the dates and then run the fix dates under maintenance, I think it is!

Yes, I had tried that (we've done this several years).  It's actually easier to have two separate trials.  For results, confirmations, etc.  It's just me switching back and forth, but easier at the end for submitting results, generating files, and uploading.  I would hate for a Q to get put on the wrong club or day.  But thanks for the suggestion.

I need to look at my notes but this is a really good question.  I think if you go and change the trial dates in the Event Details page, it automatically changes the dates of all the runs.

If not... you may have to change the dates of each Trial in the Event.
You can also go to the Maintenance Menu. There is an option to update all the run dates for all the runs.
I will go play with it too to make sure.  It won't break anything if you try it. :) Here is the Run Dates option in the Maintenance Menu. I'm sure we will be having a lot of people who need to reschedule trials during this virus.

We had a 5.7 magnitude earthquake here in Utah this morning so I'm freaking out about the house falling down.

I have had to do this before and by changing the dates and then using maintenance like you suggested we had no issues at all

So glad you brought this up. We are mostly in the same situation and I was just thinking what to try as an easy fix.  Thanks ladies!

Ok...just changed the date of my fun test.   Changing the dates on the event page didn't change the dates of the runs.   But clicking the fix all run dates in the maintenance tab worked.
