Paws and Taws members and friends –

Jon Sims discovered that this coming Friday is National Lost Socks Memorial Day (who else knew?), so that is the theme for our dance.  Tom and Cindy Bunn are back in town for the summer and will be cueing early rounds at 7:00pm.  Mainstream with announced Plus with Tony Simmons calling, with rounds or lines between tips, from 7:30 to 9:30pm.  Tony has offered to hold a bonus Plus session at the end of the dance for those interested; he always comes up with something out the ordinary!

Reporting some sad news, Donna Cothran shared that her husband John, long-time member of Paws and Taws, passed on April 29:

To all my square dance friends:

On Wednesday I lost the love of my life. We were married 63 years. A special thank you to the members that saved his life last July and gave me another 8 wonderful months with him. His obituary is on line at www.davenportfuneralhome.com.

I love and miss you all.

Donna

I trust that most of you will remember Joe & Merilyn Bolt.  They were Chairmen of the SC Federation a few years back and members of the Hall of Fame and workers in the Georgia Federation as well as several clubs in the upstate.  Just got word from her daughter, Sonya (with whom she was living), Merilyn passed away yesterday (5/20/25).

There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00pm Thursday night at McDougal Funeral Home, Main Street, Anderson, SC and her funeral will be at the same location on this Friday. 5/23/25 at 1:00pm.  Then on to Oconee Memorial Park, Anderson, SC for a graveside short service.

If you would like to send a card of remembrance to Sonya, her address is 2022 Oliver Street., Anderson, SC  29624.
