SQUARE DANCE CLUB

 

Paws and Taws members and friends –

 

Gaelic Guys, Girls, and Games Dance this Friday with Tony Simmons calling and Kristine Nelson cueing.  Early rounds 7:00pm, Mainstream and announced Plus with rounds between tips 7:30 to 9:30 pm.  Wear your green!

 

And mark your calendars for our Saturday Afternoon Special Dance with the one and only Tony Oxendine!  April 20^th, (the Saturday before the SC Convention) from2:00 to 4:00pm.

 

Upcoming Paws and Taws dances;

• Friday, March 22 – Gaelic Guys, Girls, and Games Dance with Tony Simmons calling and Kristine Nelson cueing.
• Friday, April 12 – Pan American Week Dance with Joe Arnold calling and Kristine Nelson cueing.
• Saturday, April 20 – Saturday Afternoon Special Dance with Tony Oxendine calling from 2:00 to 4:00pm, no rounds.
• No dance on Friday, April 26 – see you at the South Carolina Convention in Rock Hill!

 

Regarding the upcoming South Carolina Convention, reports are that the special-pricing hotel rooms are filling up; the deadline for the special rates is March 25.  And of course, get your ribbons!

 

Dances are at Senior Solutions with early rounds at 7:00pm and the dance, mainstream with announced Plus with rounds and lines between tips from 7:30 to 9:30pm unless otherwise noted.  Flyers are in the event details on the Upstate South Carolina Google calendar.

Willis Cook passed on March 16, 2024.

 

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 23 at Little-Ward Funeral Home, 115 State Street, Commerce, GA from 12 to 2 PM.  Funeral Mass will be held at a later date at St. Catherine Laboure, Jefferson.

It is with a heavy heart we share that Burlyn Michel “Mike” has gained his angel wings and joined sweet Mary in heaven this morning. He recently celebrated his 101st birthday.  Please keep the family in your prayers.

 

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 2, at 10:00 a.m., in the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel, 3195 Atlanta Hwy., Athens, GA.  The family will receive friends for one hour after the service at the funeral home.
