PAWS & TAWS
SQUARE DANCE CLUB

Paws and Taws members and friends –

With the weather forecast for Friday calling for dangerous travel conditions, both Paws and Taws and Jug Tavern Squares have cancelled their dances scheduled for January 10.  There may well be other cancellations Friday and Saturday; alerts will be forwarded of any we learn of.

Seems like forever since the last Paws and Taws dance, with only one scheduled in the last seven weeks and now this Friday’s dance cancelled.  But we are going to make up for that with five dances in the coming seven weeks!  In addition to Mainstream lessons every Wednesday.

So, it is time to get back on the floor with Paws and Taws first dance of 2025, next Friday, January 17, with Sam Rowan calling a Celebrating ABBA/Disco Dance.  A third Friday, so the alternate program of a Mainstream workshop at 7:00pm, Mainstream dancing from 7:30 to 8:30pm, and Plus dancing 8:30 to 9:30pm.  No rounds or lines.

Upcoming Paws and Taws dances:

Dances are at Senior Solutions.  For dances on 2nd and 4th Fridays, there will be early rounds at 7:00pm and the dance, mainstream with announced Plus with rounds and lines between tips from 7:30 to 9:30pm unless otherwise noted.  Flyers are in the event details on the Upstate South Carolina Google calendar.

For 3rd Friday dances, there will be a Mainstream workshop 7:00 to 7:25pm with no break, Mainstream tips from 7:30 to 8:30, and Plus tips 8:30 to 9:30.  The format of these dances will be a focus on providing floor time for both new Mainstream and Plus dancers.
