HelloI have the same issue.

I have HUAWEI MediaPad T3 and just bought spin bike Viking S100M. The bike works only with android bluetooth and not IOS but my tablet is only compatible with Zwift companion and not Zwift main app. either by web or google play

What I can see is that this is waaaaay beyond me. I thought it would be a simple plug&play action with the tablet, turns out not to be. I have a lot more information now, but am not any more knowledgeable.

Saw your post and even though it is unrelated, just want to chime in and say that screen always on with a charger that is always on will most likely affect your tablet negatively. I use sort of the same setup as you but have put a smart plug that starts charging the unit below 30% and stops above 80%.

Ah yes, from some other forum posts I got the impression that it would wear out faster. Could it be a setting in the user profile of the app? This thread: Homeassistant App for Android "Connection lost", not reconnecting - #3 by simatao has a solution with a checkbox that automatically kills connections, noticed that mine has it set to on as default

Since you have tried almost everything with the tablet, it could be that the RasPi is the problem. I am thinking in terms of like how old the model is, if there is a lot of space left on SD-card, quality of SD-card (I used to use cheap ones, switching to a better one has improved the system beyond words) and such.

I have also found that if the machine is already working hard, things like HA database size, using recorder to store every state very often, and using loads of things in the same UI can make it slower. Anything you can notice that might be off in terms of these things?

The speed test of the SD card was interesting, looks like the random-IOPS-tests were far from the expected values, so it might be the problem. Will be really interesting to see if it improves with another (better) SD-card

Regarding WIFI, I think that since both the tablet and PC showed the same results at some point, it is probably not the tablets WIFI that is the problem. You can always run a WIFI test on the tablet as well to see if there is anything that stands out

Huawei tablets are portable computing devices, similar to a compact version of a laptop with a touch screen as their main interface. They often run on Android operating system, offering a variety of apps for productivity, entertainment, and communication. Huawei distinguishes itself with sleek designs, high-resolution displays, and impressive battery life. Some models, like the MatePad Pro, come with stylus support for note-taking and drawing, appealing to creative professionals and students. They also often boast robust hardware, including powerful processors and ample storage, ensuring smooth performance. Huawei tablets can serve as e-readers, portable cinemas, virtual meeting rooms, and mini workstations, catering to a wide range of user needs.

Huawei entered the tablet market with the Ideos S7 in 2010. Since then, they've consistently upgraded their technology, focusing on user-friendly interfaces and high-performance hardware. Their journey includes the MediaPad series, known for good quality at affordable prices. Huawei then made waves with the MatePad Pro, a direct competitor to high-end tablets, boasting powerful processors and sleek designs. Over the years, Huawei has faced challenges, like trade restrictions, yet they've continued to innovate, integrating their own HarmonyOS to reduce reliance on external software. Their tablets have evolved from simple gadgets to sophisticated devices catering to both casual users and professionals.

Looking ahead, Huawei Tablets will likely embrace cutting-edge technology, such as foldable screens and 5G connectivity, becoming more versatile and powerful. They may integrate further with Huawei's ecosystem, offering seamless connection with other Huawei devices. Advancements in battery life and AI capabilities are expected, enhancing user experience and productivity. As remote work and digital artistry continue to rise, Huawei tablets will likely become even more prominent tools for professionals and creatives, reflecting their growing role in our digitally interconnected culture.

If you have tried different cables and different appropriate chargers and since you haven't specified how you know that the port is OK, then the tablet needs to be opened and the USB port tested to prove that is properly connected to the systemboard.

If it is loose or disconnected at all and as most probably it is a SMD (Surface Mounted Device) type USB connector, you will need the requisite tools and expertise to solder it back on. If you have never done SMD soldering before, I suggest that you contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote for the repair. In the long run it may be cheaper than if you try do it yourself. You may cause more damage than what you had before you started, especially if you don't know how to do it.

The Chinese telecommunications company has been manufacturing mobile phones since 1997. It is also the largest telecom infrastructure maker in the world. The company also makes Android smartphones and tablets. Recently it has stepped into the smartwatch market with an Android Wear based device. It is another one of the big smartphone manufacturers from China.

At the global launch ceremony, Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei's consumer business, said Huawei has recently achieved high-quality growth in its terminals sales. Huawei shipped 7 million Mate 30 series phones worldwide within 60 days after they hit the market.

Huawei had the largest market share of tablet computers on the Chinese mainland in the third quarter of 2019, with a shipment of 2.12 million units and a market share of 37.4 percent, according to market research firm IDC.

The end result is that, for now, this device runs HarmonyOS, which looks and acts a good deal like Android, but is not. In practical terms, it can run many Android apps, but you lose the Google Play Store and key Google-made apps like Maps, Gmail and YouTube. Instead, the main app store is Huawei's own App Gallery (more on that later).

Like Apple, Huawei has outfitted the 12.6-inch MatePad Pro with a processor built in-house. The Kirin 9000E chip does its job, and it does it quite well. I scrolled on TikTok, played Angry Birds 2, typed in Huawei's Notepad app, doodled in a drawing app -- and not once did the tablet lag or keep me waiting. Adding to the tablet's functionality is the helpful Optimizer app, which enables you to quickly close apps and clean up storage.

Coupled with the tablet's processing power is a user experience smooth as butter, courtesy of HarmonyOS 2. All the swipes and scrolls are remarkably intuitive to the point that I, a physical home-button devotee, didn't find the absence of a home button too bothersome. (In fact, its absence is what enables the screen to take up virtually the entire tablet with a gorgeous OLED display.) The productivity setups are also worth noting: App Multiplier lets you open up two side-by-side windows in the same app when in landscape mode, and you can sync up your tablet with a PC.
