I imagine that everybody knows what happened last night and has read
some armchair "shoot first and ask questions later" commentary.

Here's what I think is the most reasoned response I've seen to
what appears to be another assassination attempt, tho there are
those who are more conspiracy minded observing that whenever
trump gets into a corner (like with Iran) there's another assassination
attempt.
