Assuming the information is true
(we always need to be skeptical these days),
China is way ahead of the west in the area of nuclear energy. I've been hearing
hints of this stuff for several years so I suspect it's true. China has really
perfected thorium reactors that have many advantages over uranium
reactors. As the video says, we've started TWO nuclear power plants
in 30 years. They have 20 nuclear plants in progess right now.
They could put their modular small thorium reactors on the container
ships and not use fossil fuels at all. Better performing than solar
and wind too.
Plus you can't build nuclear weapons out of thorium and it has far less
lethal waste. Well worth a listen - and don't forget you can speed it up.
