Job Title: Sr Power Bi Developer
Job Location: New York City, NY (Looking for Local Consultants with 10+ Years of Exp )
Day 1 Onsite ( Hybrid Mode )
We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. You will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data, and deliver actionable insights to drive informed decision-making.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop end-to-end business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, data integration, and report/dashboard creation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and design efficient and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Develop complex Power BI data models to enable accurate and efficient data analysis and visualization.
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies, and work with stakeholders to address them.
- Create and maintain data connections and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Power BI.
- Optimize performance and usability of Power BI reports and dashboards by tuning queries, implementing efficient data models, and applying best practices.
- Ensure data security and compliance standards are met by implementing appropriate security measures and access controls within Power BI.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate Power BI with other systems and data sources, including on-premises and cloud-based platforms.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Power BI and related technologies, and proactively apply them to enhance the overall BI solution.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Power BI developers, assisting them in solving complex problems and improving their skills.
- Production Support of reports, dashboards, and schedules for EMEA and North American user base
- Train and support end users, as well as self-service capabilities to help non-technical business users build their own analytics and reporting solutions
Basic Qualifications:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience as an analytics developer specializing in Power BI
- Proficient in utilizing Power Query and DAX
- Educated to degree level preferably in an IT-related discipline, or with significant industry experience
- Knowledge of, and a willingness and ability to adapt to new analytics technologies
- A very strong understanding of relational and dimensional databases and an ability to query databases to troubleshoot issues in reporting
- A flair for clean User Interface / Dashboard design principles
- Ability to absorb & present complex ideas quickly & accurately
- Ability to provide solutions to a tight deadline
- Good prioritization and time management
- A positive approach to work and to fellow team members
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Attention to detail in all aspects of working life
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Denodo is a plus
- Experience utilizing APIs
- Experience with Cloud based platforms (Preferably Azure) is a plus
- Nice to have exposure to PowerApps and Power Automate
- Hands on experience with Power BI on-premises enterprise data gateways
- Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Cognos) is a plus

This role is focused on developing, designing, constructing and maintaining databases that supports applications across the bank. The Database Developer collaborates across stakeholders including product managers, project managers,
business analysts and testers to elicit and analyze requirements and support maintenance needs.
Responsibilities
Meets with business stakeholders and other technical teams to gather and analyze application requirements.
Performs analysis of the business requirements and translates business requirements into technical specifications to design and build database infrastructure solutions.
Implements database solutions using available database development tools; ensures database implementation meets prescribed standards and technical specifications.
Strong Experience developing and implementing database solutions for Data Warehouses.
Expert knowledge of physical database design.
Ability to analyze existing code in both PL/SQL and shell script and determine impacts and remediation.
Ability to analyze existing database schema DDL/instance layout and determine impacts migrating to new target schema/instance environments.
Strong experience with SQL in Oracle.
Proficient in database change management processes.
Advanced knowledge of database performance tuning and partitioning.
Expertise in SQL development, tuning and troubleshooting.
Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing data related issues in data warehouse environments.
Excellent at communicating database issues to business and management.
Operational knowledge of virtualization solutions.
