The NetSuite Developer also manages client relationships, expectations and successful delivery of the clients development services. This is mostly a heads down role with very little client contact

Main duties include:
Discovers, scopes, leads and delivers primarily NetSuite development with emphasis on customization and non-stock functionality. May direct Consultants or Assistant Consultants on project related tasks or duties.
Evaluates, troubleshoots and resolves customer escalated service requests submitted by customers to our Helpdesk in a level 2 role.
Generates requirements, solution designs, and ultimately implements those designs.
Experience in executing the development lifecycle, including planning, status updates, functional and technical work, business requirements discovery, design and development, documentation, training, testing, go-live support and project management.
Minimum of 3-4 of experience in development and solution design with emphasis on scripting, system customization, workflow in NetSuite.
Ability to engage, evaluate and solve the most complicated client problems.
Experience in client communication, in person, email or voice.
Experience collaboration in relation to projects, teams, or other initiatives. Skills and/or Licensing/Certification(s) Required:

Description:
The design, development, and deployment of vital large-scale systems to support the DOT business units responsible for managing permits, licenses, and thousands of DOT-owned assets in the five boroughs is the charter of the NYC Dept. Of Transportation IT&T Project Management Office. The DOT business units depend on the IT&T PMO to have the appropriate staff and skill set to build modern web-based, mobile-enabled applications which are both public-facing and for DOT employees that assist the business units to ensure maintenance crews and DOT contractors are properly managing hundreds of miles of roadways and highways. Different crews and contractors will also manage the state-of-good-repair for thousands of other DOT assets, for example the pedestrian ramps, street signs, corners, traffic lights, bridges, and sidewalks. For private small and large businesses to use the sidewalks around NYC, DOT also requires workflow-based permit and license systems that enable the private businesses to set-up sidewalk cafés, outdoor dining sheds, and private bus drop-off and pick-up locations. Thousands of contractors including the utility companies are also required to log-in and use the systems developed by the PMO IT&T to request a permit before they open up roadways to access their steam, water, and electric pipes and conduits. Our systems allow DOT staff to review, approve, and deny the sidewalk and roadway dining requests, manage, and build bike lanes, manage the work required to perform the installation of pavement markings, and renewal of pavement markings that are fading, manage the installation and replacement of signs on the streets of New York City, and to document the current and historical inventory of signs by location. The selected Senior Application Developer will assist the IT PMO with implementing projects similar to the applications previously mentioned above.
Duties:
· Perform detailed and quality application design, database design, coding, and unit/ integration/ performance testing.
· Develop and integrate complex application modules using .NET 4.8, ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#, n-Tier architecture, SOA, XML/JSON-based web services and application development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio 2019/2022 and SQL Server Management Studio.
· Implement web-based user interfaces in .NET using Razor/MVC4/MVVM architectural patterns, AJAX, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript (React, Angular or Backbone).
· Develop relational database design, normalization, T-SQL/stored procedures and manage databases in SQL Server 2017/2019 and Azure SQL.
· Build secure web applications with user authentication and role-based access control.
· Institute graphic user interfaces following user experience and accessibility best practices.
· Generate reports using Microsoft SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), ad-hoc reporting, and data migration/transformation using SSIS packages.
· Perform configuration management, continuous integration, and version control utilizing Azure DevOps.
· Implement web services using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
· Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes. The following methodologies are currently being used for different projects Waterfall, RUP and Agile.
· Create/update design artifacts and deliverables such as use case diagrams, application architecture, class/sequence diagrams and high-level/detailed design documentation.
· Collaborate with business analysts, quality assurance specialists and application developers during the design, development, testing, and implementation of applications.
· Understand high level application architecture/design, network design, performance constraints and security frameworks.
· Participate in and contribute to formal/informal technical reviews and presentations.
· Research, present and/or make recommendations on technical issues.
· Mandatory Requirements
Minimum of 15 years’ experience with writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions; environments include but are not limited to mainframe, mid-range, personal computers, laptop; available to assist and/or lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions.
Requirements
This is an 100% Onsite
· BA/BS Degree or equivalent, in a technology related field or other degree preferred.
· Advanced-level certifications and/or training in application development.
· Microsoft Certified Professional.
· 5 years of total experience in object-oriented design, development, testing and deployment of mission critical business applications, at least 6 of which are in a web/client-server environment.
· 3-5 years of hands-on development experience with projects involving Microsoft.NET and SQL Server technologies for web, web service and desktop application development using C#.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, HTML 5, AJAX, WPF, WCF, MVC, jQuery, Entity Framework, LINQ, Redux, Visual Studio 2017/2019/2022.
· 4+ years of relational database design, normalization, T-SQL, stored procedures, SQL Server 2014/2017/2019, SSIS packages, data modeling tools (ERwin/ERStudio).
· Proficiency in data analysis and ad-hoc reporting using T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Excel.
· Expertise in map-based application development and GIS mapping software, with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Open Layers and/or Mapbox preferred.
· Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Azure DevOps, or a similar application lifecycle management tool.
· Experience in UML/Rational tools or other design tools.
