Hello All,
Every couple of years I usually have a big party for my birthday. This year I’ve decided to have a large art sale/fundraiser during my building’s open house this coming Sunday, April 29. I’ll have everything from unusual items such as glass handcuffs, grenades, and hand guns I made during a residency at Pilchuck a couple of years ago to functional items such as hand blown salad bowls. Also for sale will be new printmaking work and digital work (framed and unframed), as well as sand-casted work and blown sculptures.
I’m also excited to have a fresh batch of Bumbershoot t-shirts based on the poster I designed for the festival this past September. The black version of the t-shirt sold out within the first few hours of the festival, and the white one sold out the next day. This is a limited run, so come early if you want one.
I’m raising additional funds for my recently awarded Creative Capital project, Recapitulation. (For more information about Recapitulation, see the link below.) I’m really excited about the project, and am also very aware that I need financial assistance in completing it. Creative Capital provides a great deal of infrastructure support, but funding for the project must also come from my own fundraising efforts. One of the hardest things is asking friends and strangers for assistance. So many of you have been supportive in so many ways over the years by coming out to shows and performances. This upcoming project is quite ambitious, and I do need your help. Any purchases you make on Sunday will benefit my project tremendously.
If you don’t want to purchase artwork, you can make a donation to the project.
Anything and everything would be appreciated.
If you know of others who might be interested in purchasing, donating, or simply stopping by the open studio, please forward this e-mail on to them.
Artwork for this open house will be quite affordable.

In addition to myself, 30 other artists from the building will be hosting open studios on Sunday as a part of the Jackson Street Studios open house. We are located at:

1426 South Jackson Street

My studio is on the second floor. Enter from Jackson Street.
Time: 12pm-5pm
I’ll be set up to accept credit cards and cash.
Thank you in advance. I look forward to seeing you, connecting with you, and celebrating my birthday with you!
Many Thanks,
Paul
