PlacePatterns seeing some life

PlacePatterns.org has gotten a few hundred visitors a day for the past couple days  (it usually gets a few hits a day.)  

The spike comes from this event that Gary Zuker is doing in austin - http://designbuildlive.org/?p=4682.  The post links to the project page for his house and calls it the home page of his project.  

We saw two new user registrations from the flow of traffic, and most people stayed on the site for a good few minutes and read a good few pages. 

I'm sensing in this an insight into this sites success, or any similar site that looks to raise awareness in this realm or communicate acquired knowledge.  People are proud of their projects, and want to share them.  If they have built a particular place using patterns, that's something they'd like to showcase.  Our giving them a platform to do that is the way to get evangelists for the site. 

Now - how to encourage folks who are already involved to make this the home for their projects, and how to find and attract those who would like to share?  

I'm still willing to put in time developing this...
