Looking at http://placepatterns.org/

We've received feedback, and I think it's good feedback, that patterns and places should look differently on this page, and other many-pattern-listing pages.
On the front page now, the last two items are places (not patterns).

So - I need suggestions for a visual language to distinguish them.

Border color, background color, icons, text...?

Ooph.
Apologies to any Internet Explorer users.  I've only been looking at it in Firefox and Chrome.  Looks awful in IE.

Ah - only IE7, which is 2% of the market and falling. 

Not worth worrying about, after all.
