Email is working on the server now.

Theo had pointed out that user registration emails weren't going through.

I set up placepatterns.org with Google Apps, and we're using Google SMTP as the mail transport. That will hold us for a while - up until we're sending out more than 2000 messages a day.

Good that means you can use things like http://www.google.com/google-d-s/forms/ in order to collect data.
