Moving towards a cleaner front end, and user edits just on the backend.
Now showing author, tags, and scale on each pattern and place.

Front end style cleaner.  Removed excess menus.  Centered header.

Truth is: the style right now is sketch.  The code underneath is sloppy.
I'm weighing when to move to a cleaner CSS framework.  Right now it's fine, but it's not a good infrastructure for the longterm.

My understand is:

For the moment:

Ignore anything that might be in the CSS for the moment.

Do consider issues that may have to do with plugins and theme files.

Is this right?

Not sure if I agree.
It's got to pass the bar with design folk...

Still - priorities make sense.  Minimally functional comes first.

Let me rephrase that

My understanding as to what we, your advisors, should be concentrating on in the next 24 hours or so in order to help you progress is:

Ignore anything that might be in the CSS for the moment.

Do consider issues that may have to do with plugins and theme files.
