Hi Lev

Now that the dev process is established on GitHub, what would you think of moving all dev communications to the Issues page?

This would put all of dev in one location.

In would encourage us to close topics and be more 'on-topic'…

It might also help clarify when to write to 'dev' and when to write to 'user'.

Theo

Works for me. I'm already keeping an eye on both places.

Anyone else on the list here have an opinion?

Would we be made aware of discussions through email, or have to keep up?

I will check on automatic email notification after I write this. Yes if it's a private repository. Still don't know enough about this new team repository thing.

In the meantime here's the link:

I just looked around - if you 'watch' a repository, you get updates on your Git feed, but not by email.
Not sure how to subscribe...

Yes, emails can sent out every time there is a new message.

Requirements:

You need to be a registered GitHub user.

You got to the repository and click on 'Watch' on the minibar in upper right.

You have set up notifications as you wish in your personal profile > notifications center.

Ah, OK - well if you guys do that, let me know and I will register and set it accordingly.

Thx, m

It all depends on what you want to hear.

Do you really want to hear me rant about the style of indentations in CSS files?

Now that there is an alpha up, I hope the real questioning about the product would begin to move to the 'user' google group.

Lev: thoughts?

OK, we could just look at that.   Whatever input you guys want on whatever aspects!

I think that makes sense.

User experience feedback on the user group - tech details on github.

Lev

Currently dev has six members, user has 15.

Once we make the switch:

Dev may go down to just you, Ward, me. Anybody else?

User may well generate more responses that need more of your time in replying.

I think you need to say *when* you want to switch to happen…

I'm not exactly active here, but I'll follow github instead if you switch.

Good. Your presence will serve to remind us that patterns can be described by algorithms.

BTW, do you agree with that old Chinese saying "An algorithm is worth a thousand pictures"?

New location: New York City

Let's flip the communications when we start sharing around a live site.  Next week, I'm hoping.
