Have you guys taken notice of the github fork for adding python 3 support? Is there a plan to allow that back in or contribute to it?

Patten is a wonderful library and I would love to see it move forward with the language!

Yes, this is an official fork. Most of the work on it has been done by Andy Hayden. We have financial backing by the Python Software Foundation, and my plan is to increase funding. I also want to integrate Andy's changes as quickly as possible into the main project (working on this now). You are very welcome to contribute with pull requests and we can give admin rights to the fork if you are serious about it. The fork's wiki has notes on what needs to be done.
