Spring Trip

After reviewing all the deposits yesterday I was astonished to discover that only 30 people (parents and students) have secured a spot on our Memphis, TN trip in April. Every year we have about 65-70 students attend the spring trip (which is still about 50% of the band program) and we are able to keep the cost at the initially proposed price. Dropping to 30 people will drastically increase the price and I am unwilling to do that. I think there are many misconceptions about the nature of this trip and the activities we will be participating in. Personally, I think this will be one of the best experiences this program has ever had. However, if I do not receive any more deposits by Friday I will cancel our trip plans to Memphis. The cost will be much greater than anticipated, and needed, and a mere 25 students is not a very good representation of our band program. I'm sorry for those of you that are as excited about this opportunity as I am and I hope we see some more folks show interest.
