Sweet summer greetings, and some good news!

For those of you who were totally zealous in reading my early blog posts, you may remember that I spoke with the editor of The Oregonian's travel section about writing a story on my trip to Africa. You may also recall that he was less than enthusiastic that I could come up with anything intelligible. Well, to cut to the chase, he ended up eating a few of his own words, as the article was published yesterday -- with photos! Here is the link, if you'd like to see it yourself:

I'm thrilled to say that just since yesterday, I've received over 30 responses from women wanting to join our Portland group. I also was contacted by the editor of a new regional women's magazine, who wants me to write a short feature about Dining For Women for their premiere issue!

Just wanted to share my joy. I'll send my next post out when I get invited on Oprah, or start planning for the next trip, whichever comes first. Happy sunshine!
