Ihave one more idea that will maybe fix it- I still suspect that something could be off with the GitHub app connection. Could you try disconnecting from GitHub in your Render settings, then reconnecting by clicking the New button at the top, and then clicking the GitHub link at the top of the next page?

I have reconnected Render to github. I have installed render to the repo. By the way, I have pointed out that your documentation for doing this is completely wrong and you have not fixed it. You must perform this step: Go to GitHub Apps - Render GitHub and click Configure.

I have tested with vercel and the build is also broken. Their process works properly, but the build is also wrong. This is what made me suspect the github repo. But, I completely recreated it from scratch.

Good news. I thought I should point out that whether it was something I did (unlikely) or Render did (more likely) it works really fast now. Almost the second I push to the github repo, a new build starts.

I have source data with about 75 columns that I want to format and output as an Excel file. The main issue I am having is that I cannot get the Render tool to output the file properly. I pipe the data to the "Table" tool and set everything to "Automatic" and then send that to the Render tool. The Render Tool seems to require setting a Page Size, but that's irrelevant for an Excel file...I'm not trying to print it. I guess I want the page size to be whatever is needed to set the auto-sized column width's properly. Perhaps I am missing something? Is there another way to do this? I tried connecting an Output tool directly to the Table tool but that...also didn't work. Appreciate any suggestions.

@aweiss2k you're absolutely right in using the Render tool here, as you're outputting from a reporting snippet (Table tool). The paper size in the case of Excel just represents how much space you're giving the render. Here you can see if I just leave it as the default setting, I get a warning and incredibly squashed output:

You could write an Alteryx workflow to generate a PowerShell script, then call the script. I have a script written in another language (ACL) that creates a PowerShell script for Excel formatting. I just haven't had time to convert it from ACL to Alteryx.

If there are any ACL experts out there who could convert my ACL code to Alteryx, that would be a huge help. Here's a sample of the ACL code, with the line highlighted that creates a line in the PowerShell script.

The Render Network is the first decentralized GPU rendering platform, empowering artists to scale GPU rendering work on-demand to high performance GPU Nodes around the world. Through a blockchain marketplace for idle GPU compute, the network provides artists the ability to scale next generation rendering work at fractions of the cost and at orders of magnitude increases in speed when compared to the centralized GPU cloud.

Launched in 2017, the Render Network is built to provide a platform for a wide array of computation tasks - from basic rendering to artificial intelligence - which are facilitated swiftly and efficiently in a blockchain-based peer-to-peer network, free from error or delay, while ensuring secure property rights.

The Render Network is designed to connect users looking to perform render jobs with people who have idle GPUs to process the renders. Owners would connect their GPUs to the Render Network in order to receive and complete rendering jobs using OctaneRender. Users would send RNDR to the individual performing the render work and OTOY would receive a small percentage of RNDR for facilitating the transaction and running the Render Network.

I have a number of HTML documents (intended to be private, NOT intended to be published publicly on the web) stored on dropbox. I would like to use Dropbox's storage and collaboration features to share these HTML documents.

When opening the HTML from the desktop client (i.e. from the dropbox folder in Finder (Mac) (or I guess Windows Explorer)) the HTML renders as expected in my default browser (also loading and executing the external CSS and JS files which are also on Dropbox). But when clicking on the HTML file from the dropbox web app, it previews in an iframe, but doesn't execute the external CSS / JS file.

Of course, when you create a share link to a file, anyone that has that link is able to access it, and anyone can share the link once they have it, so it likely doesn't fit your criteria of not being published on the web.

With my page it's rendering the HTML ok, but hasn't found the external files (CSS, Javascript, images, etc.). I notice in your source HTML you use absolute URLs (e.g. ) - do you know if that's the only way to make it work, or whether there's a way to make it work with relative URLs?

With share links, yes, absolute URLs must be used, and you would need to create a share link for every files you reference. If you have a Public folder you can use relative URLs as long as all files are in your Public folder somewhere, but again, anything in that folder can be shared publicly.

Note: The Public folder is a deprecated feature. New accounts created after (I think) October 2012 don't have them, and only Pro and Business users have the ability to create one. If your account was created prior to October 2012, you will still have a Public folder as long as you have never deleted it.

HTML BUG(?) 2016-08-03:

The HTML file in-browser preview no longer works in the Business account with "team folders" feature enabled. In the past, I've been able to create a share link to the containing folder and the .html files inside that folder all rendered/previewed correctly for an anonymous viewer.

Shared folder example that contains some sample html, pdf and docx files:

-6OLKmwRxxAZD7ONJa?dl=0

The html files won't render as a preview in the browser, but the other file types do render.

I currently use the public folder and "copy public link" feature from files to share documents daily. I have a free account. I got an email saying this feature would end on October 3. This is a major EMERGENCY for me. My entire universe is a public share files that I have converted to a tinyurl or a QR code!!!! Why is this going away?

If I upgrade to a Pro account, do I have another year before I will lose this feature?

@arturas: This thread has some alternatives for HTML files, at least one of which will sync with your Dropbox so you won't have to change storage providers (and note that other storage providers are moving away from this as well).

The proper way would be whatever render needs but also what you are happy and able to manage after all you will need to manage the instance and do any config changes / updates. It looks like they have docker as an option so that would probably be the first thing I would try and it should be the easiest assuming render allows for persistent storage.

If its during the geometry phase or when using any rendering mode that is still single core, no. If its a Renderworks mode and its actually rendering then you should be able to stop it using Command . (or CTRL . on Windows) (that's a period).

This is the real issue. Esc-esc DOES indeed trigger the stop of the render, it's just that it does not stop in a timely manner, so much so that many users think they haven't told it to stop at all. The notification in the bottom right may or may not appear based on what phase of rendering they are in, or not show a notification til the rendering has actually stopped under heavy loads.

This is in as a wishlist item, but I suspect it may need to wait until we are all or nearly fully multicore in order to implement it.

A little update on the issue. So, in terms of Renderworks, the behavior for the Esc key hasn't changed. However, apparently because of OS updates, Renderworks doesn't know the key is pressed now. This issue will be solved in the next version, sorry for the inconvenience.

The only issue I've encountered with D5 Render is that is takes longer to render a scene or video versus Enscape. Up to fifty-percent longer in some cases. I'm using an antiquated RTX 2070. I don't mind the extra time since I'm not doing production work.

Do you have any examples of interior renders? I tried D5 and was very disappointed with artificially lit interior spaces. (I just received an email that the Enscape annual subscription costs are increasing again. I'm always keeping one eye on the exit door in case it gets to a point where the subscription costs stops making sense. So far the increase is not huge.)
