I know a lot of people use this trait (I have a character with it as
well) so you should know it has been errata'd:

“Heirloom Weapon: You carry a non-masterwork simple or martial weapon
that has been passed down from generation to generation in your family
(pay the standard gp cost for the weapon). When you select this trait,
choose one of the following benefits: proficiency with that specific
weapon, a +1 trait bonus on attacks of opportunity with that specific
weapon, or a +2 trait bonus on one kind of combat maneuver when using
that specific weapon.”

That means you immediately lose the +1 masterwork bonus to hit and the
+1 trait bonus to hit.

If you chose an exotic weapon it no longer qualifies under the trait.
Simple or Martial only.

Not sure what retrofitting options are going to be for those who chose
an exotic weapon or upgraded their no-longer MW weapon to magical, but
I'm pretty sure we won't see any details until after GenCon. There is
a spell called Masterwork Transformation and it seems like it will get
an exception to the "spells end at the close of a scenario" rule.
That would be the easy path to upgrade your heirloom weapon to MW in
order to pave the way for magical enhancement.

I figure, just pay the 300gp to make the thing Masterwork and be done with it. There's no reason to screw people over a 300GP Masterwork cost.

Well, I chose a two-bladed sword as an heirloom weapon, how does that affect me?

We'll have to wait and see as far as those who took exotic weapons. I
imagine they'll either grandfather in the old ones or let you choose a
new trait, but that's just speculation. For now you know there is no
longer a +1 trait bonus to hit. I would probably just ignore the
masterwork discrepancy if you upgraded one to a magical weapon until
they get around to clarifying it. No sense in us making guesses about
patching that when they are going to lay out some kind of official
version later.

Mark has said on the PFS forums that it wont be till Gencon that we find out how they decide to convert the old to the new heirloom weapon. He didn't make it sound like people would be grandfathered. People who took heirloom weapon and grabbed an exotic weapon are going to have to do some rethinking of their character. Apparently in the new guide they will expand the character changes due to rule changes section to include traits. I think everyone should just play with the old rule until we find out how to fix it.

The last thread I saw said he would provide rules as soon as possible
and they would either be in the PFS FAQ, the Additional Resources
document, or the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play. Of
course as soon as possible *might* mean Gen Con, but it could come
sooner as well.

Or maybe I missed the thread where he said it wouldn't be until Gen Con.

I'll be seriously surprised if they manage to find time for that
before or during GenCon.

All of those updates are coming with the season change and Gencon. I seriously doubt they will release anything before then.
