I think it would be Knowledge (Nature), or perhaps a custom Knowledge (Internet).

The default RAW = "Check: Answering a question within your field of study has a DC of 10 (for really easy questions), 15 (for basic questions), or 20 to 30 (for really tough questions).

You can use this skill to identify monsters and their special powers or vulnerabilities. In general, the DC of such a check equals 10 + the monster's CR. "

So, if we are speaking of a http://paizo.com/PRD/monsters/troll.html, then it would be 10 + the CR 5.  Now, I'm not an expert on applying Templates to creatures, and I don't know if there is a template to add which equals an Internet-Troll.

So, DC 10 = Is this a troll?

DC 15 = Is this troll attacking, or simply being disruptive?  Does this Troll have immunity and to what? (ie Logic, Common Sense)

DC 20 = What is the Troll's IP address, and are they using some kind of anonymizer / Stealth that would make attacking them directly more difficult?

Does that sound about right?

Actually, as Trolls are humanoid (giant), it's Knowledge: Local.  Which coincidentally works out well for the templated "Internet Troll"  Know your local environment and who is trolling you.

Thank you for correcting me as Knowledge: Local.

I know in knowledges, per Paizo, there is a kinda-list.  (http://paizo.com/prd/skills/knowledge.html)

Arcana (ancient mysteries, magic traditions, arcane symbols, constructs, dragons, magical beasts)
Dungeoneering (aberrations, caverns, oozes, spelunking)
Engineering (buildings, aqueducts, bridges, fortifications)
Geography (lands, terrain, climate, people)
History (wars, colonies, migrations, founding of cities)
Local (legends, personalities, inhabitants, laws, customs, traditions, humanoids)
Nature (animals, fey, monstrous humanoids, plants, seasons and cycles, weather, vermin)
Nobility (lineages, heraldry, personalities, royalty)
Planes (the Inner Planes, the Outer Planes, the Astral Plane, the Ethereal Plane, outsiders, planar magic)
Religion (gods and goddesses, mythic history, ecclesiastic tradition, holy symbols, undead)

However, is there a location for a DEFINITIVE list?  I guess http://paizo.com/PRD/monsters/creatureTypes.html could be used, but a handy-dandy look up chart would be awesome.  (Characters around the campfire, Roll Playing, discussing creatures - and to determine what each one would know as a base knowledge.)

Thanks!

Hi,

I guess my reply to this message from earlier (pre-caffine) did not post.

Here, I'll include again...

"Actually, it was an "In General" - and there have been multiple
issues, especially in regards to:

A) Accessibility and making the Pathfinder Game more inclusive (where
someone laughed on line at someone for being visually impaired who
would wish to play)
B) Pick Up Groups and Threads
C) Including but not limited to the Pay-To-Play

While I highly disagree with your assessment, and I would ask you to
reconsider and remove this warning.

However, recognizing you are the admin and I will fully comply with
your decisions.

I do respectfully ask that you view this from a Macro point of view,
and do not take offense.

SS"

And, why is Personalities in there twice?

If you Knowledge:Local, do you NOT know about the Noble Personalities
in your area? Does one knowledge preclude another knowledge check
officially?

I guess trying to be clever by hiding message's about trolls by trolling is not trolling.  Maybe pointing out the irony of harassing someone who doesn't have close caption on a video (which was created to benefit the community) by posting pictures that blind people cannot see is just over the heads of some people.  It's ok.

Point:  Blind does not always mean 100 % visually impaired, trapped in a world of 100 % darkness.

"As in the past, statutory/legal blindness continues to be defined as best corrected visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the better eye; or a visual field limitation such that the widest diameter of the visual field, in the better eye, subtends an angle no greater than 20 degrees, as measured with a Goldmann III4e or equivalent size stimulus."

So, I guess I could vary from the typical, and say "Those with Severe Vision Impairment which meets the legal definition in the USA."

And, it is not only of Windows PC's I speak.

"A place for Visually Impaired People who use Apple products and services"  http://macfortheblind.com/

Although Microsoft does also addresses this issue with Magnifier.  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308978
