G+ moving to YouTube Live on Sept 12

I just learned about this.  Last couple games I've played G+ wasn't working very well anyway.  Also had some trouble with discord, although less.

If someone with experience with YouTube Live could post pointers it would be appreciated.  Do you have to use video or can the GM and/or some players be in text only?
