I see this list is quite silent last year or so. Does anyone still
using pathfinder? Does anyone uses it (like me) outside of the
intranet?
Keeping recent events in mind, there are many things to improve in
certificate validation and Pathfinder is a good place to implement new
ideas..

We have several folks that are using it in various contexts - not sure how many subscribe to this mailing list though.

What kinds of improvements are you thinking of?

As you may see from the patch I submitted, I am interested in using
Pathfinder outside "greenhouse intranet" environment.
So things that might be important is what browsers lack natively and
what may be desired to fix current Internet PKI failing state:
Kinds of certificate pinning, easily allowing separation of domains of
trust (say, "never rely on public roots when validating corporate
certificates")
Perspectives
Convergence
DANE
Monkeysphere
whatever else.

Have you seen the "populistic" patch that makes it much more "internet
friendly"?

There are other issues worth fixing, but most annoying problems go
away.
