Hi All,

Some of our users reported problems with the app when used in Droid
X. The problem was, in all probability, caused by the way
MyLocationOverlay class was handled. We have worked around it in the
new Android release v1.2. We hope that the issue is addressed but
would appreciate feedback from our users.

Also, there are some minor changes to the look and feel of some of the
screens.

Regards,
Somak

I can't download the update from Android Market. It says 'Starting
download...' and spins forever. Uninstalling and attempting a new
install did not help.

Thanks...

Somak, similar results here. I'm left with a message saying
"Installation unsuccessful", even after using AppInstaller to
uninstall the previous version and rebooting cleanly.

As before, feel free to let me know if you'd like a tester to verify
the basics are working before releasing through the Market, and please
let me know if the LogCollector generated logs (or any others for that
matter) are of any help.

Thanks,

John

Hi All,

This is a pretty frustrating problem. A little bit of Googling showed that is a common issue many Android users is facing.

In our testing after releasing the app it did work fine but after I read all the feedback about the download failing issue, I uninstalled the app from our phone and faced the same problem.

The different blogs provided pointers/solutions like clearing the Download Manager cache, the Marketplace cache etc. but unfortunately none of it has worked on our phone yet. You still might want to give it a try.

However, if you are really interested, you can use a sideloader to install the app.
Attaching the apk of the app and here's the link to the Android Central Sideload Wonder Machine (http://images.androidcentral.com/sites/androidcentral.com/files/downloads/AC-SWM-v1.0.zip). for downloading it.
There is readme in there please read it. I generally use a slightly different method to install apps.

1. First ensure that USB debugging is enabled on your Android device.
In most devices, this can be found in
settings-->applications-->development-->usb debugging -  check that
and connect your phone to your PC using the usb cable used for your phone

2. In your PC download and unzip the AC-SWM zip file-->browse to the folder named AC-SWM-->go to folder payload and place the AndroidTransit.apk (or any other apk for that matter) in there

3. In the AC-SWM folder click to launch the batch file called "loader" --> if your phone is connected correctly you will see the serial number of your phone-->if you have already placed the apk in the "payload" folder then just hit enter and the apk would be installed-->It would say Success on proper installation-->Hit enter again to close the loader.

This is not the way we want to distribute the app. We are looking for a  possible solution to this.  If any of you has any input please share with the group.

Somak
