I like the new interface, I see there are colored route lines that
change color at a transfer point. That's a nice feature.
The colored pins still do not have the right colors. Green should be
for the origin and red for the destination of the trip.
Gold could be used for the location of the train or bus. And blue
should be used to show the current user's location.
I think the previous comment about "cancel trip" being unnecessary is
correct. Once the trip is
done, the button should change and say new trip. The "My Transit Trip"
button shows a map screen with a folder.
The folder doesn't contain anything except a repeat of the button My
Transit Trip. I would expect the
folder to show a list of favorite trips and a reverse button to
reverse the route. The "Directions from Here"
button does not give you directions. It really should say "Set
Destination" which is what the button does
and then the behavior would match what the button does. The "Show
transit Schedules" button does not work
and crashes the app.
My ideal interface would be 1) Click "My Transit Trip". 2) Be given a
list of Favorite trips 3) A button to
reverse the route. 4) A button to "Start the Trip Now" and 5) a button
to set different times for the trip.
6) A zoom-able station map so I could predict where the next station
was if I wasn't familiar with the transit system.
7) A pop up screen of Stations along the way so I could see the
current station that I am at.
8) A message field from transit agencies to give news updates about
system delays and equipment breakdowns.
Overall a useful app that I am getting more familiar with as a good
way to get transit schedules and real-time
information.
