Are there any business-y or strategy type resources in the area for nonprofits?

Our film society currently runs 5-6 shows a month, and we're starting to look for options to lease a building and creating a better theater experience, to run 3 or more days a week. We need to figure out how to negotiate something like this, determine when it's the right time to hire our first paid staffer (and all the legalities that entails), and about a million other business-plan type things.

We've got a lot of passion (3 years strong now), a small cadre of dedicated volunteers, in-kind backing from the city and a couple of paid sponsors, and enough ticket sales/donations/grants that we're able to pay our bills. Are there any options for advice on how to take it to the next level, something similar in mission to PATH but geared toward business instead of tech?

Have you tried SCORE? That would be my first thought... then I would be at a loss.

Hrm, I thought they were for regular businesses. I didn't realize they did stuff for nonprofits too. I'll look into it.
