Site Slow + Getting Patch-Tag Down Message

Hi all,
I was just navigating the site and it was pretty slow. Also I got 'Bah! Patch tag is down ..." message when clicking on links. Refreshing the page made the error go away, but it's still slow. Just though you might want to know.
