Failure to get via SSH

Here's what happens:

% darcs get mag...@patch-tag.com:/r/magnus/dataenc

darcs failed: Not a repository: mag...@patch-tag.com:/r/magnus/
dataenc ((scp) failed to fetch: mag...@patch-tag.com:/r/magnus/dataenc/
_darcs/inventory)

Interestingly it does work via HTTP.

Any idea why this would be?

apparently the connection dies in the middle of ssh session with a handle read failure. I will be looking into this over the next couple days. meanwhile as magnus says http does work so you can darcs get full repo to a temp dir and pull local patches from there as  a workaround.

Strangely enough it does work on some my other repos (all that I've
tested). I wonder what's special about dataenc.

I just started having problems doing a push to happstack. darcs (on
the server side) complains that it can not read a file (which does
exist) from the pristine.hashed directory. I wonder if there is some
sort of random permissions problem, or drive failure?
