I have a copy of the happstack repo from before the switch to namespaced
repos.
When I tried to do a darcs pull, Darcs complained that it could not mix
darcs-1 format with darcs-2 format repos. Also, when I tried to do a
darcs check, it complained of a hash failure:
Hash failure in http://patch-tag.com/publicrepos/happstack/_darcs/patches/0000692391-0bfb2ef0284e6ae6831b92c961265400c3b0d1d6fd3ce99da701a949d3ae63a4
I noticed that if I do
wget http://darcs.net/nonsense
I get output like
Proxy request sent, awaiting response... 404 Not Found
2009-10-05 13:21:31 ERROR 404: Not Found.
On the other hand if I do
wget http://patch-tag.com/publicrepos/happstack/_darcs/format
wget succeeds, saving a file with the contents 'Quoth the server: 404'
I believe this behaviour is confusing Darcs. It thinks it's getting a format file
and a hashed patch file respectively, but it isn't. Any chance this could be an error
on the patch-tag.com end, perhaps a non-404 response where one should be?
Thanks and congrats on the recent move! Hopefully we'll see a future where
patch-tag really runs with the idea of exchanging darcs patches...
