Here is a question from a knob.

I'm looking to setup a headless gateway/RMS for Winlink Message server. I prefer going with a complete Linux system but can use Wine and windows apps. Can pat be configured to accomplish what a Winlink server can do, and if it can could you point me in the right direction

Pat is a client just like Winlink Express so it cannot be configured as a server.

Look into the BPQ system from John Wiseman, G8BPQ. His system provides multiple functions such as BBS, forwarding BBS, Chat, digipearter, RMS. You can even run Wordle. I run a system on a Raspberry Pi 4B with Direwolf for our club. I think Pi 4 is minimum for Wine which is only required if you want to run Vara.

Thanks for the heads up, will look in that direction. I'm looking at using a NUC style micro/mini computer. There are several out that run directly off of 12vdc or USB-C power
